Conference «Competitiveness of territories of Ukraine: innovations, investments, cluster approach» will be take place in the framework of International forum “Innovations and technologies of high quality”, which will be held in Kyiv from 30 September till 2 October 2009 in the Exhibition center “KievExpoPlaza”.

The aim of conference – Discussing and determine priority directions of competitiveness territory growth (village, city, region) using implementation innovations, attracting domestic and outward investments, also by force of creation clusters.
Mission of conference: To show priority strategic directions of territories development of Ukraine, their innovative-investments attractive sides by way of example implementation and accompaniment cluster conception of economy development of Ukraine.

During conference will be discussing the following theoretical and practical scope of functions, which connecting with problems of cluster approach in growth of competitiveness territory of Ukraine:
-    Organizing-economic mechanisms of providing of competitiveness territories of Ukraine;

Brief of cluster conception.

Implementation of cluster approach is considered in Europe like the best instrument for providing competitiveness of regional economics and countries totally.
Cluster unions – today are the most effective forms of organization innovative processes, forms of regional development, whereby in the market compete not only separate enterprises but whole complexes, which cut down their expenses in consequence of general technological cooperation of companies.
Unions in clusters forming specific economic space for the purpose of expansion sphere of open trade, free movement of capital and human resources then make functions of structure forming elements of global system.
An economy which is formed on the basis of clusters - it’s a model of competitive and investment attractive economy which provides a high level and quality of life of population. Clusters are needed because innovative processes require resources and jurisdictions which are often outside the separate taken company. Clusters are connection of competition and collaboration, “collective efficiency”, “flexible specialization”, use of effects of scale, poles of growth. Clusters are part of more wide conception of competitiveness. Cluster mechanisms or local networks of the territory-production system – is sources and factors of the economy growing of territories.
